All US orders for crates ship from our California location and were fully assembled at the factory in Scotland. We feel our product is only as safe, durable and quiet as the final assembly so they are finished at the factory and quality inspected before they leave Scotland and again before they leave our facility. Due to the size, weight and to ensure damage free delivery, crates palletized and shipped by freight carrier which is very different than parcel delivery. Due to nature of freight and our very large country, delivery rates and options vary by destination but generally, there are three options for delivery:

Residential Delivery

Delivery to a residence requires an appointment and the carrier will call in advance to arrange a delivery date but only gives a time window, usually 3-4 hours. Someone must be present to inspect and sign acceptance for the order. The carrier only delivers the freight and does not unbox, install or take away the packaging. For slopped, narrow, long or non paved driveways, the carrier will only deliver at street level. The order must be delivered within 2 days after arrival notification to avoid storage fees so we'll do our best to schedule the ship date for an arrival date that works with your schedule.

Dock Pick Up

Most customers are located within a reasonable driving distance from one of our carrier's facilities. For this option, the carrier will call when the order is ready for pick up and you can unwrap, install the crate to your vehicle and dispose of the packaging in their dumpsters. For liability reasons, the dock workers are not required to assist with installation but in most cases, when asked nicely, they have been quite willing to assist. The order must be picked up within 2 days of arrival to avoid storage fees so we'll do our best to schedule the ship date for an arrival date that works with your schedule.

Business Delivery

Delivery to a business assumes normal business hours M-F, 8-5 and the carrier does not call in advance. Businesses operating from a residence do not constitute business delivery and are still considered residential delivery.  Please specify if your business has a high loading dock or forklft services available at time of order. 

 

Accessories or Spares purchased separately

Smaller items, when not purchased with crate, ship via UPS or USPS to your residence or business.

 

 

We take great care when packaging every order and do our best to protect the products for transit. It's rare that our orders incur damage but occasionally, carrier damage happens which is beyond our control. Receiving instructions are sent with every crate order and if damage if found at time of pick up or delivery and instructions are followed, we'll replace the unit or issue a full refund.
